A military fighter jet crashed into the San Diego Bay in California on Wednesday.

Reuters was able to confirm the location from nearby buildings and pier that matched satellite imagery and street view imagery. Corroborating video shows boats searching bay after crash. Plane type appears to match file imagery of Boeing EA-18G Growler. Police confirmed the incident in news conference to media.

Both pilots were said to be in good condition, the U.S. Navy said in a news release on Wednesday evening.

The Coast Guard said the pilots were rescued by a fishing vessel after being in the water for about a minute.
