STORY: Donations poured in for the rescued animals, veterinarians, and workers at Pasadena Humane since the Southern California wildfires began last Tuesday (January 7). Video from Pasadena Humane showed the rescued animals, donations, and people working tirelessly to save the animals.Reuters was able to confirm the location from the road layout, a parking lot and interiors of the animal refuge which matched file imagery of the place. The date was verified by metadata on the original footage. Animal facilities, veterinarians and rescue organisations have taken in and assisted dogs, horses, donkeys, goats, sheep and other creatures that were displaced by the ongoing fires along with their human owners.Over 400 animals have been taken in by Pasadena Humane. The Humane Society began accepting animals as a temporary shelter as families evacuated their homes. But circumstances evolved, along with the widening disaster, which has left 13 people dead, burned 39,000 acres (157.83 square kilometers) and forced at least 153,000 people to leave their home (Production: Alexandra Sarabia)
