Over 3,000 kilometres from South Korea, in Udon Thani, relatives of Jongluk Duangmanee, one of two Thai victims in the Jeju Air jet crash that killed 179, mourned their loss on Sunday (December 29).Boonchuay Duangmanee, the victim&#x27;s father, shared that his third and youngest daughter, Jongluk Duangmanee, had worked in South Korea for seven years and visited her family in Thailand once a year.He recalled feeling a ‘sense of unease’ when neighbors showed him the news because Jeju Air was the airline his daughter frequently travelled with.&quot;I can only accept it, make peace with it,&quot; he told Thai PBS upon learning that his loved one was among the fatalities in South Korea&#x27;s deadliest air accident. &quot;No matter what I do, my daughter won’t come back.&quot;Boonchuay expressed his wish to bring his daughter’s body home for a proper religious ceremony.Meanwhile, in South Korea, investigators are examining bird strikes and weather conditions as possible factors in the crash, fire officials said on Monday (December 30).Experts say many questions remain unanswered, including why the twin-engine Boeing 737-800 appeared to be travelling so fast and why its landing gear was not down when it skidded along the runway and crashed into a wall.<div>(Production: Napat Wesshasartar) </div>
