MANILA — State  weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday it was monitoring three low pressure areas (LPA) inside and around the northern boundaries of the Philippine area of responsibility.

None of these weather disturbances were affecting the country, PAGASA said.

It said the LPA over the northern Philippine Sea was spotted 790 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes at 8 a.m.

It may exit the PAR in the coming hours and has a low potential for tropical cyclone formation.

However, the LPA outside PAR far east of Batanes has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression.

It was last located 2,070 kilometers east of Luzon’s northern tip. It will move northward and is not seen to enter the PAR.

Meanwhile, the third LPA is a remnant of tropical cyclone Danas, formerly Bising. It lingered over southeastern China and was unlikely to re-develop into a storm.
