MANILA — High temperatures are to expected in the country on the second week of April, according to the weather outlook of ABS-CBN's resident meteorologist Ariel Rojas.

In addition to the warm weather, "intense afternoon thunderstorms" will also be felt in the central and southern Philippines.

"Hot and humid conditions expected across the country, with intense afternoon thunderstorms in central and southern Philippines," Rojas said.

The warm and humid easterlies from the Pacific will "dominate" the country throughout the period and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) "may intermittently affect" Mindanao during the said week.

Meanwhile, no weather disturbances are to be expected within the week.

Metro Manila will be hot and dry especially from Wednesday to Saturday, but there will be chances of rain Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday.

Generally hot and dry weather may prevail over Ilocos and Central Luzon while sticky conditions will be experienced over the rest of the country.

The ITCZ will bring intense afternoon thunderstorms in Mindanao, and thunderstorms also expected in parts of Northern and Central Luzon, Palawan, and most of Visayas.
