26 areas face 'danger' heat index levels

Dagupan City in Pangasinan is facing 45 degrees Celsius heat index on Friday while another 25 areas are facing similar dangerous heat index levels, weather bureau PAGASA said.

Four areas are facing 44 degree Celsius heat index levels, namely Iba, Zambales; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Coron, Palawan; and Panglao, International Airport in Bohol.

Other areas facing danger heat index levels are:

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan - 43

ISU Echague, Isabela - 42

Baler (Radar), Aurora - 42

CLSU Munoz, Nueva Ecija - 42

Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo City - 42

San Ildefonso, Bulacan - 42

TAU Camiling, Tarlac - 43

Sangley Point, Cavite City, Cavite - 42

Infanta, Quezon - 42

San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - 43

Puerto Princesa, Palawan - 43

Cuyo, Palawan - 43

Legazpi City, Albay - 42

Masbate City, Masbate - 43

CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur - 43

Roxas City, Capiz - 42

Mambusao, Capiz - 42

Iloilo City, Iloilo - 42

Dumangas, Iloilo - 43

La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental - 42




Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi are set to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
