45 C sizzler threatens Dagupan, 25 areas face danger heat index

A total of 25 areas are set to face dangerous heat index levels of 42 degrees Celsius and above this Wednesday, with Dagupan City leading the list with temperatures hitting 45 degrees Celsius.

Dagupan has registered dangerous heat index levels for the past 5 days, with the hottest temperature recorded last Monday, April 21, at 47 degrees Celsius. Heat index is what the temperature feels like to the human body when relative humidity combines with air.



Weather bureau PAGASA said the following areas will hit dangerous heat index levels on April 23:

The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
