The easterlies - warm and humid winds from the Pacific - are set to bring rains in parts of the country while a low pressure area will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Palawan this Monday, weather bureau PAGASA said.

PAGASA weather forecaster Ana Clauren-Jorda said Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also due to the easterlies.

Batanes, the northernmost province of the Philippines, will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeasterly windflow.
