MANILA -- The country is not expected to experience a weather disturbance in the coming week, even as the remnant low pressure area of &quot;Wilma&quot; dissipates on Monday. The cold Amihan, together with the shear line, will weaken by Wednesday but the northeast monsoon wind is expected to surge by Sunday. Scattered rains may still be experienced over parts of MIMAROPA and Western Visayas on Monday, while moderate to heavy rains from the Shear Line will continue to batter Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora through Tuesday. Scattered rains may remain Wednesday to Saturday and the fresh Amihan surge will re-intensify the Shear Line over the northern portions of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera on Sunday.There will be cool mornings and evenings over Batanes, Babuyan, and Ilocos Region, even as the Amihan weakens.Meanwhile, the warm and humid Easterlies will dominate many areas of the country throughout the week.This means hot and humid, with expected afternoon showers from thunderstorms especially over Southern Luzon and Mindanao. Metro Manila may still have scattered rains Monday and Wednesday.
