MANILA — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Bicol Region and Mimaropa, and to the Visayas and Mindanao, state weather bureau Pagasa announced Friday.

ITCZ is where the winds from the northern and southern hemispheres meet.

Due to the shear line, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Aurora, and Northern Quezon may experience moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms.

Pagasa said Amihan will also blow over the Extreme Northern Luzon and may slightly intensify on Sunday, bringing rains to the rest of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and Metro Manila.
