MANILA -- Metro Manila and several other Luzon areas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday, PAGASA said. 

The shearline, an area where cold and warm air meet, was affecting the capital region, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, and Kalayaan Islands, the state weather bureau said. 

The rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region can expect cloudy skies with rains due to the amihan or northeast monsoon. 

PAGASA warned these areas of possible floods or landslides due to moderate or at times heavy rains. 

The amihan will also bring isolated light rains in Ilocos Region, while the rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms, the weather agency added. 

It is unlikely for a storm to brew inside the Philippine area of responsibility this week, PAGASA weather forecaster Robb Gile told TeleRadyo Serbisyo.
