Handout/DOST-PAGASAMANILA — Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is still raised over Davao Oriental as Tropical Depression Querubin continues to move over the waters east of Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Tuesday night.

In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Querubin was last located 275 kilometers east northeast of General Santos City, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts of up to 55 kph.

It is moving north northeastward at 10 kph.

Under Signal No. 1, Davao Oriental may experience winds of 39 to 61 kph in the next 36 hours, which may cause slight damage to some houses of very light material.

PAGASA also said Querubin and the shear line will bring potentially heavy or intense rainfall over several areas in Visayas and Mindanao, even those far from the projected path of the cyclone.
