Tropical depression Querubin and the shear Line could bring heavy or intense rainfall over several areas in Visayas and Mindanao Wednesday, even those far from the projected path of the tropical depression, weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 4 a.m., the center of Querubin was estimated based on all available data 230 km East of Davao City or 205 km East of Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

Packing 45 kph winds near the center and gusts of up to 55 kph, Querubin is moving north northwestward at 10 kph.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 1 remains hoisted over Davao Oriental, with 39-61 kph winds expected in at least 36 hours or intermittent rains within 36 hours.

PAGASA said Querubin and the shear line will bring heavy to intense rains (100-200 mm) over Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.

Moderate to heavy rains (50-100 mm) will also affect Bicol Region, Quezon, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte,  Cebu, Bohol, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao del Norte.
