MANILA — Insta360 has launched its highly-anticipated new flagship model, the Insta360 X5, in the Philippines.

The brand, which is known for its 360° cameras which are widely used by outdoor adventure content creators, said the X5 has further improved image quality, durability, and AI-driven ease of use.

Among the upgrades to the X5 include a larger 1/1.28" sensor and the new Triple AI Chip system,  which the company said offers enhanced image quality and processing power. It also supports 8K 30fps 360° video, and features a new AI-powered low-light mode called PureVideo which lets the camera capture vibrant, cinematic footage even in dim lighting, Insta 360 added.

Users will now also be able to replace damaged lenses on the go. Additional upgrades include a built-in wind guard, extended 3-hour battery life, and waterproofing to depths of 49 feet.

A new feature is InstaFrame Mode, which simultaneously records a ready-to-share flat video and a full 360° clip for future editing.

"The first is an instantly shareable flat video, no editing or reframing needed. Here you have the choice of a fixed view that follows a constant direction or a selfie view that keeps you in frame throughout," the company said.

Insta 360 said the X5 also introduces upgrades in post-production, with  the revamped Insta360 app providing intuitive editing tools, while Insta360+ cloud service enables seamless sharing, cloud editing, and backup of 360° footage.

"A one-tap Dewarp button removes fisheye distortion for natural-looking footage, a new option to one-tap export with zero editing or reframing, and more. This is in addition to existing features such as Quick Edit and AI Edit for semi-automatic and automatic editing, Shot Lab with 40+ AI templates, as well as a full, manual editing suite," Insta 360 said.

The X5 will sell for P32,990 with options for bundled accessories for motorcycles and bicycles.
