MANILA – ING Hubs Philippines said it is doing its part to help keep the country's IT-BPM industry competitive amid rapid changes in technology.

During this year’s IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) C-Suite Forum, ING Hubs Philippines Country Manager Hazel Zaide Delos Santos said it was necessary to develop future-ready skills, drive innovation and build resilience in the workforce.

Delos Santos said Philippine BPO players can do this by setting up global capability centers.

"ING Hubs Philippines is committed to advancing the careers of our talented professionals through a comprehensive array of programs and initiatives. Our collaborations with universities and industry leaders enable us to share best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement," Delos Santos said.

"By equipping the modern workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive, we ensure our industry remains agile and resilient in the face of disruptions,” she added.

Anto Moreno-Valenzuela, Human Resources Head of ING Hubs Philippines, said the company is investing in talent development programs designed to bridge the gap between today’s workforce and tomorrow’s digital economy.

ING Hubs Philippines started in 2013 and offers in-house processing services for financial markets, lending, and trade and finance services to some of ING’s Wholesale Banking branches in Asia.

It has over 6,000 employees as of last year and offers over 286 services to 40 countries in the ING global community, providing Retail Banking operations, Wholesale Banking products, IT engineering, global KYC, risk and finance services, data and analytics, legal services, centralized people services, and more.
