MANILA -- Chinese tech firm HONOR on Monday launched its MagicOS 10, which it billed as the world’s first AI agent operating system with self-evolving capabilities.The announcement came during HONOR’s inaugural Global Developer Conference in Shenzhen. “MagicOS 10 represents a leap from traditional operating systems to intelligent, agentic platforms,” said HONOR CEO James Li. “We are committed to co-creating with users and partners to drive ecosystem prosperity.”At the heart of MagicOS 10 is an enhanced version of HONOR’s virtual assistant YOYO, now powered by MagicLM 3.0. HONOR said the AI agent can execute complex tasks such as image editing, color grading, and everyday actions like ordering food or booking transport.Aside from this, the new OS also breaks also enables seamless file transfers across HONOR, iOS, Android, and Windows devices, HONOR said. A redesigned interface, dubbed Zero-Gravity Transparency Design, offers aesthetic improvements without added power consumption.To bolster user safety, MagicOS 10 introduces advanced AI Deepfake Detection, capable of identifying fraudulent voices, filters, and scam scripts, the company added. The company first announced its deepfake detection feature last year, which it later pushed as an OTA update to compatible devices. HONOR has yet to announce when the MagicOS 10 will be available in the Philippines, and which devices it will support. Its current platform is the MagicOS 9, which is a user interface built on top of Android 15.HONOR said it also aims to open the company’s AI stack to global partners, support them through three development tracks, and scale across diverse sectors including education, smart homes, wearables, and pet technology.
