According to the Tagum City Government, 39 of the patients have already been discharged, while 4 are still recovering at the hospital.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the bee attack. However, some witnesses reported that an individual disturbed a bee hive, which led to the incident.

In response to the incident, trained beekeepers from the City Agriculture Office conducted fogging operations inside the park to control the swarm.
