MANILA -- A cargo vessel caught fire northwest of Limbones Island, Nasugbu, Batangas, early Sunday morning.

According to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), they responded to MV CASTPILL XV at around 4:27 AM and successfully rescued seven crew members, including the vessel’s captain, who suffered only minor injuries.

By 7:35 AM, they rescued an additional five crew members, who were then given medical attention.
