The five arrows were still embedded in the body of the aspin — short for asong Pinoy or Philippine native dog — named "TikTok" when it was rescued by the Bacolod Animal Chance and Hope (BACH) Project PH in Hacienda Puyas, Barangay Blumentritt in Murcia town Monday night.

The owner, Leah Dela Cruz, said she was appalled when she saw TikTok come home with arrows pierced into its body.

The dog is now recovering in a veterinary clinic in Bacolod City. The reward for anyone who can identify those responsible for the cruelty has reached P300,000.

Veterinarian Aaron Pabalan said the dog suffered from severe wounds. He added that TikTok needed to undergo therapy to restore mobility in its left leg, which had sustained serious stab wounds.
