CSG NP and PCG personnel rescue 25 tourists and 3 crew members of a troubled boat in El Nido, Palawan. Facebook/Philippine Coast Guard The Coast Guard Station Northern Palawan (CGSNP) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Thursday, rescued 25 tourist passengers and three crew members of distressed boat Clark Kent 1 near Helicopter Island in El Nido, Palawan.

CSG NP said a resident of Barangay Maligaya, El Nido reported the issue to the station, prompting the PCG unit to conduct search and rescue operations.

According to PCG, the boat was stranded due to engine trouble. They immediately gave assistance to the passengers and crew upon arrival.

"Upon arriving at the location, the team provided necessary assistance to the passengers. The team safely escorted and ferried the passengers back to the El Nido Floating Dock, arriving safely," the PCG said.

CSG NP noted that all rescued individuals were in "good physical condition" after reaching the floating dock.
