#WalangPasok: Class suspensions on Thursday, March 6

MANILA — Several local government units announced the suspension of classes in different levels due to the expected high temperature on Thursday, March 6.

Classes in all levels in the following areas are suspended:

Candaba, Pampanga (public and private; no face-to-face classes, 12 p.m. onwards)

Cavite City

Claveria, Cagayan

Himamaylan, Negros Occidental (public and private; no face-to-face classes)

Pasay City (public and private; no face-to-face classes)

San Luis, Batangas

CAGAYAN

- Aparri (public schools only)

- Sanchez Mira (public schools only)

LAGUNA

- Cabuyao (public and private; no face-to-face classes)

- Calamba City (public and private; no face-to-face classes)

- Los Baños 

Meanwhile, classes from preschool to senior high school are suspended in the following areas:

Gonzaga, Cagayan (public and private; no face-to-face classes)

BULACAN

- Norzagaray (public and private; no face-to-face classes)

- San Jose del Monte (public schools only; no face-to-face classes)

PAGASA earlier said the country should start preparing for warmer and drier months ahead.

PAGASA also urged the public to observe “extreme caution” against soaring temperatures.

The heat index, which is what the temperature feels like to the human body, could reach 39 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila, PAGASA weather forecaster Lorie Dela Cruz noted.
