CAVITE — Two ABS-CBN News veteran reporters were recognized for their “mastery of craft” by Lyceum of the Philippines Universiry-Cavite (LPU-Cavite) in their 3rd Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards.

ABS-CBN News Chief of Reporters Jeff Canoy received the Oustanding Male News TV Presenter award for his work in "TV Patrol Express".

ABS-CBN News Senior Reporter Johnson Manabat meanwhile received the Oustanding Radio News Anchor award for his radio work on Teleradyo Serbisyo’s “Johnson, I-Kuwento Mo!”

The Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards recognizes “outstanding individuals and groups in the media and communication industry who have achieved exceptional success in their respective fields.”

CENTRAL VISAYAS CORRESPONDENT WINS GLOBE PRIZE

Annie Perez, ABS-CBN’s regional correspondent for Central Visayas, earlier won second place for Best TV News Report in the separate Globe Media Excellence Awards. 

Perez’ entry, entitled “Isla sa Cebu, Unti-unting Lumulubog” is a long form report on the issue of sea level rise at Caubian Island, Lapu-Lapu City.

It aired as a special episode for ABS-CBN News’ YouTube Channel and on the "Ronda Probinsya" program.

The Globe Media Excellence Awards recognizes journalists and content creators from across the country whose compelling storytelling “drives impact, advances digital empowerment, and reinforces sustainability.”
