MANILA  — Some local government units (LGUs) have decided to suspend classes on Wednesday, December 18, due to tropical depression Querubin.

Classes at all levels in the following areas have been suspended:

Daram, Samar (public schools only)

Davao de Oro

- Compostela (face-to-face classes suspended until lifted)

- Monkayo

- Nabunturan

Samal, Davao del Norte

Tacloban City

PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 over Davao Oriental due to Querubin.

It also warned of heavy to intense rainfall in parts of Visayas and Mindanao due to the interaction of Querubin and the shear line.
