Independent Commission for Infrastructure ( ICI ) chairman Andres Reyes Jr., told members of the Manila Overseas Press Club ( MOPC) in Makati City that it will continue its fight against corruption, whatever it takes.Reyes was the guest speaker during the MOPC’s event where he gave an update on what the ICI is doing.He showed a copy of the ICI&#x27;s 125-day report submitted to the Office of the President but said he cannot divulge the details of it yet. <div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/18/marcos-jr-studying-ici-report-palace-2158">Marcos Jr. studying ICI report: Palace </a> </div>He however assured the public that the ICI will continue its fight against corruption.“You can trust us, and we will not abandoned our fight against corruption. We will fight to the very end if allowed, and we will fight until whatever it takes,”  Reyes said.Reyes believes, personalities involved in the anomalous flood control projects became too greedy that it affects the lives of every Filipino. “If we only love one another and if we just love our country, if we love our poor - we will not experience this scandal, masyado silang suwapang - too selfish. You don’t need so many houses, you don’t need so many shoes,”  Reyes told MOPC. “You should understand that love means, you should not get more than what you need. If you steal the money, there is karma. Ang Diyos, hindi natutulog,” Reyes said.Reyes admitted that as much as possible he doesn&#x27;t want to engage in an open forum and tried to avoid questions from members of the media.During an ambush interview after the event, Reyes once again told reporters what seems to be his mantra in life that &quot;honesty is the best policy&quot;.Reyes told reporters that the ICI cannot work now with only 1 member but said that the commission still functioning. <div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/4/sc-rejects-petition-questioning-the-constitutionality-of-ici-1723">SC rejects petition questioning the constitutionality of ICI </a> </div>&quot;We are still functioning- we are still working on this case,&quot; said Reyes.&quot;I cannot function, mag-isa lang ako,&quot; Reyes added.<div> </div>
