MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday encouraged overseas Filipinos to participate in the midterm elections through online voting.

(Now, it is easier to vote anywhere you are in the world. You no longer need to line up or travel. You can vote quickly, safely, and in an orderly manner)

Marcos also urged voters to choose their candidates wisely as he batted for bets who have compassion, competence and conviction.

“Sa tamang pagpili, sama-sama nating bubuuin ang bagong Pilipinas,” he said, referring to his administration's branding.

(By making the right choices, together, we will build the new Philippines)

Earlier, the Commission on Elections extended the deadline of enrollment for the Online Voting and Counting System to May 10 to encourage more overseas Filipinos to cast their ballots.
