MANILA -- Drivers whose wrongdoings are captured on video may face having their license automatically suspended for 90 days, according Transport Secretary Vince Dizon.

The transportation chief said he instructed the LTO to suspend the driver's license of those who are proven to commit wrongdoing on camera even without investigation.

The DOTR chief earlier said he would mandate several reforms after 12 were killed in recent road incidents including a multiple vehicle collision in SCTEX and a ramming incident at NAIA Terminal 1.

Among the measures proposed by Dizon are the limiting of maximum consecutive driving hours of PUV drivers to 4 hours from 6, mandatory drug tests for PUV drivers and more stringent application for driver’s licenses.
