MANILA -- Mission accomplished.

That's how the organizers described the third Atin Ito Civilian Mission, which has successfully conducted the first concert in the West Philippine Sea amid inclement weather and the earlier radio challenges from several China Coast Guard vessels.

Kapitan Felix Oca was able to go close to Pag-asa Island past 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

"Pwede na natin sabihin, mission accomplished tayo sa ating third civilian mission, ito ay moment of triumph sa atin ito coalition at lahat ng nangangarap ng kapayapaan," said mission commander Rafaela David.

The delegation also provided free fuel to Filipino fishermen in Pag-asa Island.

"The best ay safe ang arrival natin sa Pag-asa at successful ang mission," said Capt. Jorge dela Cruz of Kapitan Felix Oca.

The group concluded the concert by waving the Philippine flag in our waters.

This is the most successful of all missions of the Atin Ito Coalition.

On the first mission, only a smaller vessel was able to bring Christmas treats to the frontliners, with the main vessel turning back to El Nido due to dangerous maneuvers.

On the second mission, only the advance team was able to go to the vicinity of Scarborough Shoal, with a huge blockade of Chinese ships preventing the main vessels to come closer.

The civilian mission is now en route back to Manila.
