Senatorial candidate Rodante Marcoleta is urging the Commission on Elections to allow the early proclamation of top-ranking senators in the 2025 National and Local Elections.

In a 4-page document submitted to Comelec this afternoon, the Marcoleta camp highlighted his current 6th ranking in the senatorial race with 14,895,858 votes.

Paragraph 11 of their motion stated "there is a statistical improbability that the next six candidates from 7th to 12th will no longer affect the standing of the first six candidates."

His camp requested the Commission to allow the early proclamation of top-ranking senators, including Marcoleta, whose positions can no longer be reasonably contested once reflected on the official canvass returns.

Marcoleta's camp is also requesting the commission to clarify and put on record their explanation over the issue of discrepancies of the partial/unofficial votes, attaching in their motion the time stamp into which they noticed the difference in the number of votes garnered by Marcoleta:

"The trend was likewise observed as Movant garnered Fifteen Million One Thousand Thirty Eight (15,001,038) votes as of 1:32 a.m. and dropped to Twelve Million Two Hundred Forty Four Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen (12,244,219) votes at 2:11 a.m."

"Up to around five million votes of discrepancies from 12:23 a.m. to 4:03 a.m. of 13 May of 2025 were observed from Comelec's transparency server"

The Comelec earlier issued a statement regarding the issue and explained that it could be an issue from the  receiving parties' (media, other groups) software, which Chairman George Garcia said did not have proper filtering of duplicate entries which were transmitted from the clustered precincts.

ABS-CBN is still waiting for a statement from the Comelec regarding Marcoleta's request.
