MANILA, Philippines – While voters in other parts of the country experienced glitches and power interruptions, senior citizen voters in Alabang had a relatively comfortable voting process on Monday early morning.

The elders who have voted at the Alabang Muntinlupa Voting Center were assisted with wheelchairs as they cast their ballots in the spacious basketball court of the school.

They had priority time from 5 AM to 7 PM.

To help seniors who came after the said time frame, five regular voters and then one senior were accommodated alternately in the lines, keeping the waiting time for seniors at a minimum.

From opening until mid-morning, the voting time took less than 30 minutes -- but this was before the queueing lines increased.

Others who were seen voting in the city were Christopher Carrion, the brother of PH Gymnastics head Cynthia Carrion, who came with his family.

Philippine National Coach for Triathlon Ani De Leon also voted in Alabang Muntinlupa as well as 700 Club Host Peter Kairus was also seen casting her vote in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Restaurant owner Pam Begre and ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Roberta Lopez-Feliciano also experienced ease in casting her vote.

Celebrity Matteo Guidicelli, after voting with his family, too, shared a message of encouragement to vote wisely for our future leaders.

“Vote wisely, everybody. Ingat kayo lahat, for the future, for all of us,” he said.

Meanwhile, incumbent Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon hopes Pinoys will vote politicians who would prioritize service and people-centered programs.

"Sa mga kababayan natin, sana lahat ay bumoto agad. At siyempre po sana sa pagpili ng kandidato, ay ang sabi ninyong makaka-deliver ng service at programa sa inyo," Biazon said.

He came early to vote in his precinct.

“Use your scrutiny sa pagboto sa ating mga kandidato,” he added.
