MANILA — Results of the midterm elections will possibly be out as early as 7:30 p.m. on Monday night due to the eased poll process through the help of more advanced technology, said the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

In a briefing, PPCRV spokesperson Ana Singson compared the election process this year to the past polls.

"We think there is really a strong effort and transparency with the leadership of our elections.

Singson emphasized that due to the technological advances this time, they are seeing the possible roll out of results as early as 7:30 p.m. tonight.

"We're very excited for that, we're thinking that the first results will come at 7:30. We're anticipating po na mas mabilis po ang halalan ngayon. ang dami hong advances sa technology," she stressed.

The PPCRV spokesperson also highlighted the deployment of Starlink satellite transmission devices in different areas.

Conceptually dapat ho mas mabilis ho ang transmission," she explained.

But she also clarified that at the end of the day, "to see is to believe".

Moreover, Singson rejoiced what she said was explicit excitement of the Filipino voters.

"We think it's very encouraging, very encouraging na maagang lumabas po ang mga tao. Maaga po silang bumoto. Sigurado excited sila. And for that thank you very much po," she added.

SOME AREAS MAY NEED VOTING HOURS EXTENSION: COMELEC

Comelec chairman George Garcia however stated that there are still issues in some precincts in several parts of the Philippines.

In a briefing, he said these may prompt them to extend voting hours.

And therefore may posilidad, especially in the Bangsamoro, na pagdating ng eksaktong ala-syete ngayong gabi ay magtutuloy-tuloy sa kanila," he explained.
