Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News/File MANILA — The Commission on Elections’ Committee on Kontra Bigay (CKB) said Tuesday it continues to receive complaints of alleged vote-buying and abuse of state resources against candidates in the May elections.

CKB commissioner-in-charge Ernesto Maceda Jr. admitted in a press conference that the committee is "overwhelmed" with numerous show cause orders it needs to issue for different possible violations by candidates, most of them vying for local positions.

Maceda said regions with the most number of alleged vote-buying incidents include Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila.
