MANILA — The  “DuterTEN” candidates picked by former President Rodrigo Dutert continue to enjoy the support of Vice President Sara Duterte, who made the rounds this week to campaign for them.

On Friday, April 25, Duterte attended a campaign sortie of Manila mayoral candidate Isko Moreno Domagoso in Quiapo, Manila.

In her speech, the vice president thanked the former Manila chief executive for lending the stage to campaign for her senatorial candidates.

Duterte will attend campaign sorties in Baseco and Sta. Ana in Manila on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, several candidates gunning for senatorial seat barnstormed various areas Saturday, April 26 to continue their campaign two weeks before the May 12 elections.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay who belongs to the administration slate visited Las Piñas City was endorsed by Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar.

She reiterated her vow to push for free maintenance medicines especially for senior citizens, a better education system and a tax exemption on employees' overtime and bonus pay.

Partido Lakas ng Masa candidate Luke Espiritu held urban poor campaign rallies in Tipas, Taguig and Lupang Arenda, Taytay.

In his speech, he said he opposed the 4PH project of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.

Makabayan coalition bets Liza Maza, Arlene Brosas, France Castro, Teddy Casiño, Ronnel Arambulo and Jerome Adonis among others attended the Makabayan Miting De Avance in Baguio City.

They underscored their fight for the rights of women, LGBTQIA+ and children and urged voters not to elect candidates who belong to political dynasties.

Independent senatorial candidate Ariel Querubin meanwhile campaigned in Palawan where he advocated for peace and good governance.

Another Alyansa bet Sen. Lito Lapid toured the province of Bataan where he also visited various wet markets.

Former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan visited Lanao del Norte where he vowed to boost Mindanao’s agricultural sector and food security.

While independent candidate former Sen. Bam Aquino campaigned in Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur where he expressed support on putting extension campuses of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in every municipality to make education more accessible to the youth.
