Vice President Sara Duterte and her half-sister, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, talked to the media Tuesday after a visit with their father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, at the International Criminal Court detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands.
In an interview, the vice president said her father’s detention has brought the family closer, saying she and her father do not discuss legal matters.
The VP said her relationship with Kitty has also improved. “I have a relationship with Kitty. And I'm happy that... I'm happy that I have a sister because I have someone to scold. Growing up, I didn't have that, but I have that now."
Vice President Duterte said she will return to the Philippines once she finishes some paperwork.
