MANILA -- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday prayed that Christ's sacrifice may strengthen Filipinos.

In his Good Friday message, the president noted how Jesus' suffering gave meaning to faith, mercy, and forgiveness.

"Nawa’y magsilbing lakas at gabay ang araw na ito sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino," he said.
