MANILA (UPDATED) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Tuesday it is addressing the issue of its personnel who supposedly berated a police officer for violating parking rules "seriously and with full accountability."

It also apologized for the inconvenience that the issue has brought to motorists and to Felipe. "We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our constituents. It will be a learning experience for Mr. Go and the MMDA as a whole. A proper apology should be made to Captain Erik Felipe for the harm it may have caused him and his family," the MMDA stressed in a release.
