MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday released its resolution identifying the dominant majority and dominant minority parties for the 2025 midterm polls.

Lakas-CMD was named the dominant majority party, while Nacionalista was the dominant minority party.

The dominant majority party, dominant minority party, and major political parties will be entitled to one official watcher in every polling place and canvassing center during the May 2025 elections.

The Comelec noted that only 11 national political parties filed their petition for accreditation, from which the dominant majority and dominant minority parties were selected.
