Elizabeth Zimmerman, former wife of former president Rodrigo Duterte and mother of Vice President Sara Duterte, has arrived in the Netherlands. 

The Vice President earlier said her mother and brother, Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte, will visit her father at the ICC detention facility in Scheveningen, The Hague. 

However, there are no details yet when they will visit the former president. 

 At around 11.15 a.m. Monday, there was no sight yet of any Duterte family members at the ICC detention center. Only a few supporters were seen passing by the area.

Last weekend, supporters of Duterte gathered in a small grassfield in front of the detention center to continue the celebration of the 80th birthday of the former president. 

Duterte was arrested on March 11  on his arrival from Hong Kong at the request of the International Criminal Court (ICC) as part of its probe into his "war on drugs" that defined his presidency.

The ICC warrant for Duterte's arrest said that as president, the 80-year-old Duterte created, funded, and armed death squads that carried out murders of purported drug users and dealers.

He was brought to The Hague in the Netherlands on the same day he was arrested.

Duterte on March 14 appeared via video link before ICC judges. He is set to attend a September 25 hearing to confirm the charges against him.
