MANILA — Former president and Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Monday sought prayers for her family as her husband, Mike Arroyo, and son Mikey, face health issues.

According to Arroyo, her husband Mike will undergo a major surgery on April 7 due to a heart condition.

“First, my husband Mike’s dissecting aortic aneurism that required an emergency repair in 2007 is expanding again, and he will have to undergo a big surgery, combining a bypass and an aortoplasty, on April 7 to avert another emergency,” she said.

Her son, Mikey, also went through a surgery for stage one thyroid gland cancer last March 18.

“Then, our son Mikey’s biopsy-revealed Stage One cancer of the thyroid gland, and he underwent surgery last March 18, thankfully, a successful one,”

Arroyo also shared that her nephew-in-law, Paowee Tantoco, passed away.

According to Arroyo, she will be leaving soon for Singapore for her husband’s surgery.

“Please pray for my family,” she said.
