MANILA — Several senatorial candidates joined the campaign launch of local politicians over the weekend as the Philippines draws closer to its 2025 midterm elections in May.

Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar — who is eyeing to replace her mother Cynthia in the Snate — campaigned in Muntinlupa City, with an endorsement from incumbent Mayor Ruffy Biazon.

Former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan — who is pushing for a comeback in the legislative chamber — made his rounds in Albay, a province where he ranked first among vice presidential contenders in 2022.

In Laguna, Sen. Pia Cayetano wooed voters in Biñan, while former Bayan Muna Rep. Teddy Casiño went around San Pedro.
