MANILA -- A total of 29 Indonesian nationals who were earlier rescued by officials of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) were repatriated on Saturday evening.

The victims were rescued last February 14, upon the request for assistance by the Indonesian embassy.

The Indonesian nationals were allegedly forced to continue working in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) scam hubs in Paranaque City.

They were reportedly being relocated to a scam hub in Cambodia after their employer halted operations in the Philippines last January.

The foreigners were transferred from the PAOCC Custodial Facility to NAIA Terminal 3 at around 4:00 PM, where they boarded the 7:55 PM flight to Jakarta, Indonesia.

The rescued individuals were escorted by officials of the PAOCC and BI.
