"The complaint we filed is a criminal complaint for copyright infringement, filed by Mr. Omar Manzano, with respect to the use of his song, K&B, as a campaign or political jingle of Pastor Quiboloy," said Atty. Jeanne Castillo Anarna, legal counsel of Manzano.

Anarna alleged that the song was publicly used, reproduced, and altered without prior consent from her client Manzano, who is also known as Omar Baliw.

Atty. Israelito Torreon, Quiboloy's legal counsel, said that this is a "welcome development" for their camp. He believes that they will be able to prove to court that Quiboloy has no involvement with the use of the rapper's song in Quiboloy's campaigns.

"From what I know he [Quiboloy] did not even know the details of the program. As you can see he is in jail, wala siyang TV doon sa loob at wala siyang alam doon sa detalye, kung ano ang ipapalabas ng kanyang mga supporters. We will just wait for the subpoena to arrive and answer it thoroughly and excellently so that the truth will come out that Pastor Quiboloy is not guilty," he said.
