President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. did not mention his elder sister, reelectionist Senator Imee Marcos, when he endorsed the senatorial candidates of his Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas Banner in vote rich Cavite province Friday night.

Marcos' speech was his typical variation of his campaign speech which he has been repeating in administration sorties since the official campaign period began.

It had all the usual elements--differentiating his administration from his predecessors in terms of the drug war and human rights, the West Philippine Sea and Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators while individually introducing and praising the track record and backgrounds of his candidates.

Marcos talked about all his candidates at the sortie in Trece Martires, Cavite Friday night except for his sister.

He mentioned Camille Villar even if like the president's sister, Villar was also absent from the sortie.

Reelectionist Pia Cayetano, who missed the sortie last week in Marcos' bailiwick in Tacloban City, Leyte, was present in Cavite.

The speech came hours after Senator Marcos announced she would rather focus on the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte whom the Marcos administration surrendered to the International Criminal Court.

Senator Marcos remains an ally of the former President, who allowed the burial of their father, Ferdinand Marcos Sr., at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

The lawmaker had just led a Senate probe on the controversial arrest a day prior where she led colleagues in grilling her brother's Cabinet officials on the circumstances of the arrest.

Senator Marcos' name and image however figured prominently in the campaign posters, billboard and paraphernalia at the event. The lawmaker has rejected the government's arrest of the former leader--the latest in a series of public disagreements with her brother's government.

Alyansa campaign manager Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco has yet to respond to ABS-CBN's request for comment.
