MANILA – House Secretary General Reginald Velasco on Tuesday said they do not have information if Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte has returned to the Philippines or his current whereabouts.

Velasco told reporters in an ambush interview at the Senate that they did not receive any update after they issued him a travel authority to fly to The Hague, where his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is being detained.

"Wala pa po. Wala po kaming advise. But we really, we really grant requests from all congressmen, regardless of the purpose, basta no public funds are used, we give them travel clearance. Anywhere in the world they can travel freely," he said.

"Yun lang, we issue this for their passport, their consular assistance no. As long as it’s not official trips, we’re very liberal about it. 'Yun lang yung official trips kasi they will be using government funds so we try to limit the number of people and the duration of the trip," Velasco added.
