MANILA — Malacañang will not ignore calls for riots and acts of sedition as emotions flare following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte, Palace Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Tuesday.

Castro gave the statement after the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) filed sedition charges against a policeman who uploaded a video allegedly threatening officials who helped bring Duterte before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Netherlands last week.

The Philippine National Police is "not a platform for personal or political agendas" and has zero tolerance for bias in its ranks, said its chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil.
