MANILA — Malacañang will not ignore calls for riots and acts of sedition as emotions flare following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte, Palace Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Tuesday.

Castro gave the statement after the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) filed sedition charges against a policeman who uploaded a video allegedly threatening officials who helped bring Duterte before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Netherlands last week.

“Alam po natin na kapag uniformed personnel dapat po impartial at non-partisan so doon pa lamang po ay may violation na po siya... Kapag may mga ganito po at talaga pong nananawagan ng panggugulo, hindi po talaga ito palalagpasin ng Palasyo,” she said.
