We will have a second autopsy,” Alvarado’s daughter, Angel, said.

Last Saturday, the Department of Migrant Workers said it is planning to file cases against the service provider behind the repatriation of another person's remains to the Philippines instead of Alvarado’s. The service provider wrote a letter to the DMW, claiming that Kuwaiti authorities were the ones who labeled the remains as Filipina Jenny Alvarado, according to DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac.

Alvarado was found dead — along with two other foreign workers — inside the vacation house of their Kuwaiti employer. Initial investigations in Kuwait showed that the three died due to cold smoke inhalation, but the National Bureau of Investigation is conducting an autopsy on Alvarado's remains to check if foul play was involved in her death.
