MANILA – The police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has served a search warrant on a vlogger who allegedly spread misinformation about CIDG Director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III.

Torre said in a Facebook post Saturday that “actions have consequences” after volgger Jun Abines spread photos of him in a hospital.

Abines, a supporter of the Duterte family, criticized what officials did to his home and possessions.

He said his gadgets were seized on Saturday midnight after Torre filed a cyber libel case against him, and the issuance of a search warrant.

“They did not allow me to close my bank accounts, GCash and personal accounts,” Abines said in a Facebook post.

“When PNP/CIDG invaded my home and confiscated my celfone, they tried to download and prove my celfone for 3 hours on site. I believe what they did was illegal for tampering on my celfone which is an ‘evidence" that's supposed to be preserved,’” he said.

He said he has nothing to hide from authorities, and alleged that the CIDG and the national police are “spying” on his accounts.

“I advised all friends to delete me from all Group Chats to protect our personal conversation from prying eyes with malicious motives,” he added.

ABS-CBN News has reached out to Abines for further comments on the matter, but he has yet to respond as of this story’s posting.
