WHAT HAPPENED
Ramon was on board his SUV as he was traversing Quezon Avenue in Quezon City when suddenly one of the accused appeared and waved at him to stop and asked if she could hitch a ride towards a restaurant.

He was brought to different places while the kidnappers negotiated for the payment of ransom by his family, which was initially at P15 million until it was reduced to P1 million.

On the same day, Ramon was released. The Police Anti-Crime Emergency Response conducted manhunt operations that led to the arrest of all the accused.

All of the accused were then identified by the victim Ramon, while accused Florentino Amolo who took the ransom money was identified by his wife Avelina.
