PAOCC said they initially received a rescue request from an Indonesian national claiming he was being detained inside a building in Pasay.

In coordination with the Indonesian Embassy, the commission alongside the Southern Police District were able to find 34 Indonesians in the said building.

According to Winston Casio, spokesperson of PAOCC, the investigation revealed a link between the Chinese boss implicated in the illegal detention of Indonesians and POGO operations.

The arrested Chinese national however asserted that her case had already been dismissed. She also showed a dismissal order to support her claims.

The PAOCC revealed that among the 34 Indonesian nationals, 13 complainants decided to file criminal charges against the two Chinese bosses.

Casio said PAOCC is gathering statements from the 13 complainants, adding the victims allegedly used to work in a POGO and that their Chinese boss took their passports.

He said that while the rescue operation for the Indonesian nationals were being conducted, they received another rescue request from a Chinese national, claiming his friend was kidnapped and tortured by his fellow Chinese nationals.

The PAOCC has not yet identified the motive behind the kidnapping and torturing of the victim, but they are looking into the links of the suspects to POGO operations.
