Former President Rodrigo Duterte will be seen in succeeding campaign rallies of his political party’s senatorial candidates in the coming days.

During the proclamation rally of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) Laban on Thursday in San Juan City, Duterte said he will attend other events to show support although this will be limited to big rallies.

“Only yung medyo mabibigat—Cebu, medyo Laoag siguro. Para sabi ko kay Marcos punta ko doon mag-rally kami sa inyo. Yung mabigat, Zamboanga siguro andun ako. Pero hindi lahat kasi unang una, sa totoo lang, wala tayong pera. I cannot sustain a campaign na 'yung diretso diretso na,” Duterte said in his speech.

He also cited health concerns.

“Even sa katawan ko hindi na rin. Alam mo 'yung eroplano, ako piloto ako, when I was young naglilipad ako ng eroplano. Pero ngayong matanda na ko, maski 'yung, pressure hindi naman ninyo halata 'yun pagbaba mo sa eroplano, medyo matamlay ka talaga. Ako ganun. Hindi ko na kaya,” Duterte said.

The former President has formally endorsed the candidacies of his bets—musician and former PAGCOR Board of Directors member Attorney Jimmy Bondoc, Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, former DILG Undersecretary Attorney Jayvee Hinlo, former Presidential Adviser for Northern Luzon Attorney Raul Lambino, SAGIP Party List Representative Rodante Marcoleta, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, former Executive Secretary Attorney Vic Rodriguez, and actor Philip Salvador.
