MANILA — DJ Jellie Aw’s allegations went viral on Wednesday after she posted photos of her injuries online and claimed that she nearly died from the beating.

She said the incident stemmed from a confrontation with Ignacio after they met with friends, including a fellow DJ whom her fiance was allegedly jealous of.

She said Ignacio began assaulting her inside the car on their way home, causing injuries on her head, eyes, ears, and neck.

She said she could not recall how long the attack lasted but managed to seek help when their RFID failed at the toll gate.

Deeply traumatized by the incident, Aw said she wanted Ignacio to be held accountable.

The NBI said Ignacio could face charges of physical abuse under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
